Rogers, Arkansas
We’re very excited about the new show we’re adding at the Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers, Arkansas. The Bentonville/Rogers area is the world headquarters of Walmart, as well as home to representatives from many of the major product vendors who do business with them. The average household income is $80,000 and many residents are transplants from Chicago and the east and west coasts. Rogers and Bentonville are experiencing an economic boom with many new constructions of both business and large homes in the Pinnacle Hills area. The new Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art opens this fall.
This 3 day art festival at the beautiful Pinnacle Hills Promenade is held the weekend of the WALMART NW Arkansas Championship LPG tournament at the adjacent Pinnacle Hills Championship golf course. Shuttles between the 2 events makes it easy for the 25,000+ extra visitors to Rogers an opportunity to shop and enjoy the art festival.
The area is a jewel in the region and Pinnacle Hills Promenade is the finest upscale shopping, dining and entertainment venue in a 300 mile radius. Retailers include Dillard’s, Coach, Joseph A. Bank and White House/Black Market. Among the many dining and entertainment possibilities are Fish City Grill, PF Chang’s and the Malco 12-screen theater.
More about the new show
Last week we announced that we’re adding the Pinnacle Hills Fine Art Festival in Rogers Arkansas, September 9-11, to our fall tour. We are a little nervous taking on the challenge of bringing a festival together in just 3 months. However, it’s not the first time for this event. For the past 4 years Pinnacle Hills Promenade has been home to the Pinnacle Hills Art & Food Festival. Until now this festival was produced by another organization. Pinnacle Hills Promenade wants to continue having an annual fall art event and building the success of this weekend show, which is growing steadily. Pinnacle Hills Promenade is owned by General Growth Properties, which also owns and manages the The Shops At La Cantera. This is the finest retail location in Northwest Arkansas. Rogers Arkansas is the home of the Waltons – Walmart and Sam’s Club, and has a unique population of people from all over the country. The festival takes place during the Women’s PGA golf tournament which is at the Pinnacle Hills Country Club just across the road. The past festivals have been successful, drawing approximately 40,000 people during the event weekend.
This 3-day art festival features fine arts and fine crafts, a music stage with regional entertainment and the Living it Green Expo, which features exhibitors promoting healthy lifestyles and eco-friendly products and services. We will maintain this area this first year but will make sure it does not impede the artist booth areas.
If your schedule has an opening for September 9-11, 2011 and you would like to be a part of our newest show, please apply. For this first year, any artist who has shown with Lynette either in Bayou City Art Festivals, The Woodlands Waterway Art Festival, Georgetown Art in the Square or The Shops At La Cantera Art Festival will be marked as invited in the jury process. Artists can apply on Zapp starting June 10. Application deadline July 15, 2011 on www.zapplication.org.
